This can be performed by an Administrator or a Standard Plus User.
1. Open the Menu
2. Select "Administration"
3. Select the Instruments tab
4. Select the Instrument Type for the instrument you want to edit
5. Select "Edit" beside the specific instrument you want to edit
6. Select "Instrument Label" if you want to change the instrument name and select "Serial Number" if you want to add a serial number or edit if it was entered wrong.
(Note: Only change the serial number if it is incorrect. If it is a new instrument you will want to add a new instrument. Changing the serial number will change it historically for the instrument.)
7. Select "Save Instrument"
