When a task is overdue, it will show under the Non-Compliance tab on the Dashboard. When reviewing these tasks there are 4 options to resolve the issue.Tasks marked as "Ignore the Miss," "No Testing," or "Confirm the Miss" appear in Compliance Reviews to provide visibility into tasks that were not performed. This ensures transparency and allows reviewers to address any issues effectively.
It is recommended to complete all Non-Compliance tasks before completing scheduled tasks on the Dashboard.
Accounts with Multiple sites can determine the Site, Department, and Bench by applying the appropriate filters at the top of the page or by viewing the details within the Non-Compliance Review.
Resolve (Fix the Hole)
Selecting Resolve "fill the hole" on the Maintenance Log. You will be required to enter when the task was actually completed and why it was overdue. This is generally used when a user completed the task but forgot to log it into LabLogs. When this is selected it will show as a date modification on the Maintenance Log.
1. Select the (Resolve Fix the Hole) button
2. Enter Data
3. Date/Time will default to the time the task should have been completed. Adjust the date and/or time if needed
4. Enter required comment
5. Select Mark as complete button. An amber checkmark will now show on the report.
NT (No Testing)
Selecting NT will place a black dash on the Maintenance Log indicating this task did not need to be completed.Tasks marked as "No Testing" do not count as non-compliance and do not reduce compliance scores.
How to correct a day marked as "No Testing" (NT)?
If a day was incorrectly marked as "No Testing" but later needs to show completed tasks, follow these steps:
Delete the NT Entry: An Admin User must delete the NT entry for that day.
Complete the Tasks: Navigate to the Instruments page and complete the required tasks for the day. The task indicators will update from a dash (–) to a check mark (√) once the NT entry is removed.
Add Comments: You can add comments as you complete or edit the tasks on the instrument’s page.
1. Select the (NT No testing) button. The task will go away and a black dash will now show on the report.
Ignore (Ignore the Miss)
An example of when this may be used is if the instrument went down for maintenance or wasn't in working order, but the status of the instrument was not changed in LabLogs. This will not count against monthly compliance percentages.Tasks marked as "Ignore the Miss" are excluded from compliance score calculations, ensuring they do not negatively impact compliance percentages.
1. Select (Ignore the Miss) button
2. Enter a required comment
3. Select Mark as Override. A black dash will now show on the report.
Confirm (Non Compliance)
This is for when a task was truly missed. This selection will mark against your compliance percentage. You will want to note why the task was missed and if there was a corrective action that went along with the miss.Only tasks marked as "Confirm the Miss" impact compliance scores, as they are considered true non-compliance events.
1. Select (Confirm Non Compliance) button
2. Enter a required Comment
3. Select the Confirm button. A black X will now show on the report.
Non-Compliance Discrepancy
If there is a discrepancy between the Non-Compliance tab counter and the screen display as shown below, ensure your date filters are set to an appropriate range. (You may need to widen the range to capture all non-compliance events.) Admin Users can assist in resolving discrepancies by verifying task statuses and ensuring that instruments are correctly categorized, especially for those used across multiple sites.
If you have adjusted the date range and still don't see the non-compliance events, check if the instrument belongs to an instrument type that is used across multiple sites as that could affect how the data is displayed.
